Assumes the standard naturalisation route: 12 months holding ILR before applying (waived if married to a British citizen), plus meeting the residence requirement (no more than 450 days — or 270 for the 3-year spouse route — outside the UK in the qualifying period, and no more than 90 days in the last 12 months).
